Gratitude

Today I’ve thought about a lot of things. The pre-eminent emotion that I’ve felt is gratitude. Gratitude for the many blessings I’ve received, gratitude for personal inspiration and modern day revelation and the role those two things have played in my life. I’m grateful for my family and for your thoughts, prayers and support. I’m grateful for the scriptures. I know that as I’ve read them and pondered them, I’ve been drawn close to the Savior in a humbling way. I know that He knows each of us and that He’s mindful of us. I also have a testimony that there’s a plan. I’m grateful for the insights into that plan that I’ve received. I’m also grateful (now) that those insights didn’t come quickly and easily. I’m grateful that I’ve known frustration, confusion and sadness so that I can more fully recognize and appreciate peace, knowledge and joy.
